Frugal Friday

Why not have a little luxury in our fast-paced frugal lives?
Today I will share an adapted recipe for a body scrub.  This has been altered and should be something you can make with supplies from your pantry.  Easy and fairly cheap.

1/4 cup oil (olive oil is fine unless you have almond, grapeseed or jojoba)
1/3 cup sugar (brown or white)
a few drops of vitamin E oil (if you have it this will help from going rancid)

Optional ingredients;
a spoonful of turbinado, or raw sugar
a few poppy seeds
a few drops of essential oil (optional only if you use white sugar, brown sugar will smell great on its own.  Brown sugar will smell like molasses, so be cautious when mixing w/ scents!))

Mix together in a glass bowl, store in a jar (plastic will absorb the odor) and keep in your shower.

Hope you enjoy this!
Erin

Melissa,
It should last at least a couple of months I think. Really its the oil that will go rancid, you'll smell it when it does. Enjoy it, I know you will!
Thanks for your post!
